1 Problems
1.1 Housing- average size of shack in this area is 12ft x 12ft built with mud walls, a corrugated tin roof, dirt or concrete floor. The cost is about Ksh 700 per month (£6). Shacks often house up to 8 or more, many sleeping on the floor.

1.4 Medical facilities- in Kibera there are no government clinics or hospitals
1.5 unemployment rate of 50%
1.6 No rubbish collection- Rubbish litters the area as its not collected.
2 Sollutions
2.1 Water- now there are two main water pipes into Kibera, one from the municipal council and one from the World Bank.
2.2 Medical facilities- organisations such as AMREF, MSF, churches plus some others provide people with health care.
2.3 Charities develop low-cost roofing tiles made from sand and clay. Natural fibre added to soil to create blocks used for building (cheaper than concrete).
