Week One
In this lecture we covered two types of scripting on the web: server side scripting (PHP) and client side scripting (JS/HTML).
We also went over what the Action-Event System is and how it works being triggered to respond to the user's interactions (requests). We took a closer look at a script and its syntax, covering what the function keyboard is, the function name/identifier is, how far the function scope extends and what statements look like. The most notable takeaway about scripting from this lecture was that JS is a case sensitive language. Lastly we covered dot notation - what it is and how to use it.
In our tutorial, we went over the initial set up of Dreamweaver and the project space. We then began working on a simple HTML and CSS webpage to demonstrate how to efficiently use the software.
