Research proposal: Animal body condition assessment using image processing - created from Mind Map

Page 1

This is the topic for my thesis; deciding on a good starting point.

Brief mention of image processing in nature conservation- lead up to body condition score

What is body condition score

Give a brief overview of what body condition score is.

Image processing

I need to look for studies carried out determining body condition score, using image. I will have to pay careful attention to the methods, algorithms and techniques used.

Animal issues

The whole purpose of my research is to use body condition score to compare weights in rescued farm animals. The lit review have to mention; obesity and anorexia. After disccusing some of the issues that body condition score can used for, can move on to discussing some some applications of image processing with bcs

Algorithms

What program is needed

Will I need to download any software/learn any new programming language?

image processing techniques

What image processing techniques are used. How can I implement those in my research?
