IONS are made when atoms lose or gain electrons to make a full outer shell. Ions are either positive or negative
Atoms can share electrons to make molecules containing two or more atoms. This bonding is called COVALENT BONDING
Atoms join together to make molecules or large crystals structures. There are two ways in which atoms can bond, by making ions or by sharing electrons
Atoms are neutral because they have the same number of electrons as protons. The electrons are arranged in a pattern or configuration. The outer shell of electrons needs to be full to be stabel
