1923- Stalin forms the triumvirate/ Troika with Zinoviev and Kamanev.1924- Death of Vladimir Lenin.1925- Trotsky defeated. However Trotsky tries to retaliate with Bureaucracy. Stalin ;leaves the triumvirate late 1925.1926- Creation of the duumvirate, including Stalin, Bukharin.1926- Newly formed Triumvirate of Trotsky, Zinoviev, Kamanev VS the Duumvirate.1927- Stalin leaves the Duumvirate.1928-Stalin becomes leader of the Soviet Union1928- Start of the first 5YP.December 1929- Collectivisation begins in the soviet union.1929- Stalin promoted liquidation of the kulaks. Death of 7,000,000 and 10,000,000 sent to Siberia Gulag1928-32- Chitska; peacefully expelling 20% political members of the party.31 December 1932- End of the first 5YP, only lasted four years.1933- Start of the second five year plan.Focused on heavy industry, electricity and most communication.8 February 1934- Seventeenth party congress, Sergey Kirov gained 1,225 votes while Stalin had gained 924 votes. Destruction of Hitler's sixth army. Operation Uranus5 July- 23 August 1943- Battle of Kursk, had resulted in a full scale panzer attack.August 1949 Russia detonates its first Atomic bomb in Kazakhstan.
