Key Points for common behavior issues
Proper socialization during the sensitive period is the key to successful relationships between pets and their owners.
Dogs are highly social and develop strong, close bonds with their owners. In some cases, however, the bond is so strong that the dog feels anxiety when separated from the owner. This is known as canine separation anxiety and can lead to unhealthy and destructive behaviors.
Aggression found in dogs can usually be classified as conflict-related, fear-induced, predatory, pain-induced, inter-male, territorial, and maternal.
Persistent house soiling may be caused by a medical problem, infrequent walks, sexual maturity, fear, or inconsistent training.
Birds generally bite for three reasons: fear, excitement, and aggression.
The most common problems rodent owners confront are biting and aggression toward other rodents.
