William Shakespheare was born in 1564 in an English town called Stratford upon Avon to a whelthy family. He got married at 18 and had children but decided to move to London in persuit of his career. He began writing his own plays for people of all economic statuses to enjoy. (Front next to stage: Standing for poor period, roudy, drinking and fighting; shakesphare wrote scenes to engage the audience, employing violence, sexual innuendos, and fart jokes(you heard that right). He wrote at least 38 plays in his lifetime. The three main types of plays he wrote were sad plays (tradgies), funny happy plays (comedy), the histories(?), and also wrote poems called sonnets.
His elements of life, love, death, and revenge in his plays is one of the reasons people still remember him today.
Many people recognize his famous play Romeo and Juliet, which goes to show that he's still relevant after all this time.
His creative use of vocabulary made him stand out, and we still use many of those words to this day.
