Rubric Criteria
Authentic Assessment Goals
Rubric Criteria doesn't have to match throughout! You can have: 1- a different number of performance levels for each criterion 2 - different point weights for each criteria 3- You don't have to include descriptors for all levels
Students perform a task that demonstrates understanding and ability to apply skills to solving real world problems and questions.
Standards! In order to create an effective assessment you must have clear goals of what you want the students to be able to accomplish. To set and clarify these goals look at relevant standards and use or create a rubric that will measure the skill you want to test for. The target standard should be set before an assessment is made to measure the achievment of that standard.
