The supply chain management is responsible for managing and organizing all the activities of acquisition, production and distribution of the goods that a company makes available to its customers.

It is simply and simply the mandatory component for a production company, no matter what it manufactures, to be successful around the globe. Being an element that is taken with extreme care when using it in strategies to determine the best 'path' that the company can take. The example that the video provides us, shows us in a simple way what SCM is, in addition to putting us in context on what other factors affect within the company, starting from its manufacturing to the final delivery with customers, offering them the best product with a reasonable price in a certain time while profits return to the company to continue producing those goods / services.

For example, what the video tells us is that the water bottling process is not only, water in a bottle with a label and its respective cap, mass-produced and delivered to the customer. NO. But it involves many companies, people, money, transport and others, that the manufacturing company is willing to pay for subsequent production and sale to stores so that those stores can sell them at a certain price that will recover the investment in the future, plus, gains that will allow us to follow that constant flow of that process.

The main objective of the SCM is to completely cover flow level operations that involves both suppliers, information flows, materials, the production plants of the different elements, as well as points of sale, logistics operations and obviously to the clients. Within all this, it is necessary to have developed skills in management, communication and negotiation in a competent way, if we do not have them, it will be difficult for us to take the reins of a manufacturing company correctly, effectively and efficiently. Basically, we will not be able to meet customer demands simply because we may not even know where we are or what we are doing.

One more objective that is not mentioned in the video, but that is part of this whole process, is that in order to generate the desired profits or, in any other case, not have losses, it is necessary that in the case of raw materials, keep track, so you don't have too much inventory that can be lost due to depreciation, or if you don't have enough material to cover the target demand.

A supply chain not only has the objectives that I mention within these small notes, but it has many more that in order to reach them, it should investigate more from other sources, whether it is the internet, books, magazines, etc., that , would be of great help to complement what was seen in the video that is presented to us. Although in a brief way, what I wrote were things that I understood and reasoned according to what I saw.
