ACTIVE READING
Readers interpret texts and use techniques to enhance learning. Good readers do many things when reading such as infer, think, ask questions, sniff out important details, do visualize the test reading, are able to say in other words the test that is read.

They create their content based on what they know and more. they keep an eye on the focus on the meaning of a test is. Readers annotate on the test that they are reading, one form of annotating is highlighting

Four stages of active reading
1. Pre means the knowledge that the reader has related to the topic that will be read

Close reading;: means to read a short passage, it has to be read and students have to make annotations, and predict what will happen next, visualize, connect, make questions, clarify and evaluate.

Developing Reading Skill
It starts with pre-reading activities, doing reading activities, and reading activities.
To teach reading students can read silently, underline words that the meaning is unknown for later on their meanings will be clarified

Another way is to reproduce audio for the reading for students to read along with it, another one is to listen and repeat parts of the lecture, then comprehension of the Lecture is done. Document literacy has to be explained the chek if the students understand it.
