CPU- central processing unit (the brain)the function of the CPU is fetching and executing of instructions stored in memory.it fetches the memory from the ram and stores it in its own temporary memory.CPU decodes (works our) what it is meant to do next it then prepares various areas for the next step this is stored in a register.the CPU fetches from the RAM and stores in temporary memory, decodes using ALU (arithmetic logic unit) and then executes the instructions given out (stored in register) then repeats. CPU contains a number of microprocessors (multi core)- makes it faster and less strain on 1 processor and reduces power consumption and is more effectivemulti tasks -multi-core 2+ processoreach one of the multi-core has crashes (stores temporary memory)-2 levels of cashes Lv1- is a memory bank built into the CPU chip. Lv2- is a secondary staging that feeds the Lv1 cache. caches are typically static RAM (SRAM), while main memory is generally some rarity of dynamic RAM (DRAM)operating system-Ram-cores(LV2-LV1)- ALU (arithmetic logic unit)-
