Karl MarxSocialist and later developed communism with the "Communist Manifesto" in the 1800's MArx spent his time developing the impact of a feudel system on the working class. He emphasised the exploitation of the proletariat by the Bourgeoise due to the excessive power which they had. With regard to religion Marx believed it was not a creation of History but instead a creation by society, an illusion."The religious world is but the reflex of the real world"Religion simply is another excuse to keep society functioning in a traditional and particular way, the conflict between the working class and the ruling class struggles create a full revolution due to the illusion of religion. Religion exploits the working class as it gives justification and reason for their position within society. The blessing of heaven provides people with a "drug" that creates a fantasy of true happiness in the future so the proleteriat do not feel like they need to do anything now."It is the opium of the people"Religion doesnt ever fix any problems within society is simply provides justification for the suffering that already occurs."Man makes religion, religion does not make man"
