What do you think about the way Mrs Birling speaks and behaves here?

'I have done nothing wrong and you know it'

This shows that Mrs Birling is stubborn with no social conscience. She refuses to take any responsibility for Daisy's suicide and shows no regret over her actions in refusing to use her influence to help a desperate woman in need of support

She is highly judgemental and prejudiced against the working class: 'She tionwas giving herself ridiculous airs...simply absurd in a girl in her position' Mrs Birling has certain expectations of the working class and believes Daisy has ideas above her station. She lets her judgement cloud her opinion
