Balanced and Unbalanced forces
Balanced forces are those forces that don't cause any change in motion, are equal in size and opposite in direction. Unbalanced forces are those that cause a change in motion and are typically not equal. Both these forces affect the motion of an object in that unbalanced forces cause objects to accelerate while equal or balanced forces cause an object to stay at rest
