Flashcards do conjunto (9)
- 1Interior Gateway Protocolswithin a single autonomous system
RIP
EIGRP
OSPF - 2Exterior Gateway Protocolsbetween autonomous systems
BGP - 3Distance Vectorrelies on neighboring routers sharing the tables of recorded distances to carious endpoint networks
does not consider any other variables besides distance, minimum # of hops - 4Link-Stateefficient in convergence of tables
require more power and memory to function, more expensive
takes into consideration bandwidth, latency, etc. - 5RIProuting information protocol
most widely used for smaller networks
max 15 hops - 6Administrative Distance"cost"
default:
Int. EIGRP = 90
OSPF = 110
RIP = 120
Ext. EIGRP = 170 - 7EIGRPenhanced interior gateway routing protocol
supports classless addressing
uses native IP protocol, port 88, encapsulated into IP packet instead of using UDP or TCP
uses weighted elements instead of hop count - 8OSPFopen shortest path first
uses link-state routing algorithm - 9BGPborder gateway protocol
regarded as a path vector routing protocol
uses more than hop count and weight elements
