- 1What occurs in the Mesophyll tissues?Photosynthesis.
- 2What does xylem and phloem do?They transport thing such as water, mineral ions and sucrose around the plant.
- 3What does epidermal tissue do?Covers the whole plant.
- 4What is the equation for photosynthesis?
- 5What does photosynthesis produce?It produces glucose (food) for plants and algae.
- 6Where in the leaves of plants does photosynthesis occur?In the chloroplast.
- 7What does chloroplast contain, what does it do and what is produced as a by-product?Chlorophyll, which absorbs sunlight and used the energy to convert CO2 (from the air) and water (from the soil) into glucose. Oxygen is produced as a by-product.
