- used experimental evidence to support his ideas that electrons occupy orbits/ shells around a nucleus - 6How Chadwick contribute to knowledge of atomic structure in 1935?- discovered neutrons in an atom
- found that despite having no charge they contribute to the atomic weight (in nucleus)
