Flashcards do conjunto (5)
- 1A- acknowledge patient
- address the patient by their name
- ask them what they would like to be called
- acknowledge others present - 2I- introduce yourself and your role
- 3D- duration of procedure / test / interaction
- let them know of who they are waiting for and possible time-frames
- inform them of any delays - 4E- explanation of procedure / test / interaction
- provide details about tests and procedures, such as why it is being performed, who will perform it, whether there is pain or discomfort associated with the test and what will happen afterwards
- provide them with an opportunity to ask questions - 5T- thank the patient for their cooperation
- ask if there is anything else you can do
