Scotland and ends the play as a ‘tyrant’

but is sent mad by guilt and (probably)

honourable man who fights against
Macbeth. His wife and all his ‘pretty
chickens’ are murdered on Macbeth’s

ancestor of King James. Macbeth
murders him but his ghost returns to
haunt him, shaking his ‘gory locks’. - 6DUNCANthe king of Scotland by
divine right has ‘silver skin laced with
his golden blood’ - 7MALCOMDuncan’s son and heir who
flees after Duncan’s murder but
returns to restore order at the end of
the play ‘by the grace of God’
