Relative clause A relative clause is a clause which is mainly used for extra information. It can be used with any of the following bracket, dashes, comma.
Embedded clause An embedded clause is a part to a sentence which is tucked into the sentence, it is not an important part.
Subordinate clause A subordinate clause is a clause which is like a relative clause, instead of using relative pronoun it uses a subordinating conjunction.
Co-ordinating conjunctions A co-ordinating conjunction is a conjunction which links to sentences together. For And Not But Or Yet So GANBOYS- A Mnemonic to learn some co-ordinating conjunctions.
Fronted adverbial A fronted adverbial is a phrase which goes in the beginning of a sentence. E.g In the afternoon, I am going Today's house.
