Flashcards do conjunto (8)
- 1What does CPU stand for?Central Processing Unit
- 2What is a computer system?A computer system is a set of equipment that works together to complete a task.
- 3What does a computer system have?Input, processor, output and storage
- 4What does the control unit do?The control unit manages the work done by the CPU.
- 5What does the arithmetic and logic unit (ALU) do?The arithmetic and logic unit does all the calculations in the CPU.
- 6What does the clock do?The clock sends out regular electrical pulses and every time the clock ticks the control unit sends an instruction to the ALU.
- 7What are buses? The three parts of the CPU are joined together using buses that are high speed connections that carry data around inside the CPU.
