- 1Hypothesis TestingTo test if a coin is biased, it is tossed 20 times. It lands on heads 7 times. Test at a 5% significance level whether the claim is justified.

H1: P < 0.5
where p is the probability a randomly tossed coin lands on heads. - 3Step 2 - Run the testX ~ B (20 , 0.5)
P(X ≤ 7) = 0.1316 (from table) - 4Step 3 - Conclude the test0.1316 > 0.05
Accept H0 - 5Notes- If test result is above the significance level, accept H0
- If the test result is below the significance level, reject H0
