   • Carbon - 14 and hydrogen - , both emit ionizing radiation and decay into other elements over time
   • Half life - time to decay to half of original mass
   • C - 14 used to check age of organism
   • Medical use
     • Cobalt - 60 in radiotherapy... killing cancer cells
   • Industrial use
     • Checking the thickness of paper
