Waves

Waves

1. Electromacnetical

   • The electromacnetic wave is made by vibration of charged particles. Some examples of this type of wave are: The radio waves, x-rays and microwaves.

2. Mechanical

   • The mechanical wave needs a medium to transport energy from place to place. Some example of this type of wave are: Sound waves, water waves and siesmic waves.

3. Electromagnetic Spectrum

   • The range of frequencies of electromagnetic radiation and their respective wavelengths.

4. Range of Electromagnetic Waves

   • Electromagnetic waves with shorter wavelengths and higher frequencies include gamma rays X-rays, and ultraviolet ligh.

5. Radio Waves

   • Electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum longer than infrared light.

6. Microwaves

   • Electromagnetic waves that have wavelengths longer than those of terahertz wavelengths

7. Infrared Waves

   • Electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength or color (infrared.)

8. Visible Light Waves

   • A form of electromagnetic radiation and wavelengths that are visible to the human eye.

9. X-Ray Waves

   • They have a wavelength ranging from 10 picometres to 10 nanometres, corresponding to frequencies in the range 30 petahertz to 30 exahertz.

10. Ultra Violet Waves

    • Wlectromagnetic radiation with wavelength from 10 nm to 400 nm, shorter than that of visible light but longer than X-rays.

11. Gamma Ray Waves

    • Electromagnetic radiation arising from the radioactive decay of atomic nuclei and it has the shortes wavelength electromagnetic waves.
