     • Tails, but not used for grasping
     • Butt pads for sitting on.
     • Largers than new world monkey
     • Examples: Langur, colobus monkey, patas monkey, mandrill, baboon, macaques
   • New World Monkey
     • Grasping tails
     • Live in central america and south america
     • Diurnal
     • Small to medium sized
     • Flat nosed
     • no butt to pads for sitting on
     • Examples: Tamarins, marmosets, capuchin, howlwer monkey, spider monkey, uakaris, squirrels monkey, woolly monkey

2. Prosimians

   • They´re nocturnal
   • Are insectivores snouts
   • Are most primitive of primates
   • Live in Madascar, philippines, and Soutgheast Asia
   • well developed sense ogf smell
   • Primarily tree-dwellers
   • Extremenly endangered
   • Examples: Lemur, Tarsier, Lorisiforms

3. Apes

   • Live in central, south america and Africa
   • Diurnal
   • No tail
   • Many facial expretions
   • Able to solve problems
   • Use tools
   • Complex social lives
   • Examples: Orangutan, gorillas, gibbons, chimpanzees, humans.
