1. Graphical User Interface (GUI)

   • Advantages
     • Low level of ICT skills needed as its easy to use
     • Pictures can be more meaningful than words
   • Disadvantages
     • Can be large and take up resources
     • Can make the computer run slower

2. Biometrics

   • Used to measure and analyse physical charachteristics to identify people
     • Fingerprints
       • Voice patterns/recognition
     • Retina/eye scanner
       • Facial features
       • Palm Prints

3. Menu Driven Interface

   • Disadvantages
     • Some options may have no use to a particular user
     • Can be difficult to locate an option if there is lots of menus
   • Advantages
     • Nacigation to find option is simple
     • User input is validated

4. Touch Sensetive Interface

   • Disadvantages
     • Can become dirty and scratched (difficult to read)
     • HIgher cost than keyboard, mouse and normal monitor
   • Advantages
     • Low level ICT skills needed
     • Less possibility of theft
     • More practicality in some environments

5. Command-line Interface

   • Advantages
     • Instructions excecute quickly
     • Large number of options can be picked per instruction
     • Small operating system - less memory used
   • Disadvantages
     • Need to learn the special instructions
     • Need to type instructions precicely
     • Complex levels with some commands so high ICT skills are needed
