1. storage

   • cloud storage
     • it sends data and keeps it safe
   • disk drive
     • The platters rotate at up to 10,000 revolutions per minute (rpm) so the read-write heads can access any part of them.
   • Usb drive
     • a physical interface to the host computer.
   • floppy disk/DVD
     • a floppy disk is a storage device that takes the informtion out of the disk and plays it on the monitor/screen

2. processing

   • laptops
     • A laptop works with a power cable, which is used to charge the battery, and the keyboard is integrated into the computer, using a touch pad as a mouse.
   • sound card
     • a sound card converts digital data to analog sound waves you can hear. The output signal is then connected to a headphone or set of speakers.
   • network card
     • the network interface card must also be inserted into an open and available slot on your computer’s motherboard. After it has been configured, the proper drivers installed and your computer has obtained security access to a computer network
   • computers/PC
     • a control center that converts data input to information output. This control center, called the central processing unit (CPU), is a highly complex, extensive set of electronic circuitry that executes stored program instructions.

   • projecter
     • a very bright light shines through a small LCD screen into a lens, which throws a hugely magnified image of the screen onto the wall.
   • printer
     • It makes a laser beam scan back and forth across a drum inside the printer, building up a pattern of static electricity. The static electricity attracts onto the page a kind of powdered ink called toner. Finally, as in a photocopier, a fuser unit bonds the toner to the paper.
   • speakers
     • it works by sending a electric current through a coil of wire it becomes a electromagnet As the coil moves, it moves the cone back and forth, pumping sound waves into the air in other words music.
   • headphones
     • Large headphones are just two loudspeakers mounted on a strap that clamps over your head. Earbuds work the same way but everything inside them (the magnet, the coil of wire, and the diaphragm cone that makes sound) is shrunk down to a much smaller size.

4. input

   • scanner
     • The light passes through the scanner lens and reaches the CCD sensors. CCD sensors measure the amount of light reflected through the image and converts the light to an analog voltage.
   • controller
     • controllers work by sending data from the buttons you press go to the screen
   • camera
     • A camera basically consists of a lightproof box that lets in a bit of light at just the right moment. Once the light enters the camera, it creates an image by causing a chemical reaction on photo film.
   • mouse
     • a LED and a light detector to detect movement relative to a surface. It is another way to the mouse, which uses moving parts to sense motion.
