1. WHAT IS THAT ?

   • - HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language - HTML is a markup language - A markup language is a set of markup tags  -The tags describe document content  -HTML documents contain HTML tags and plain text

2. WHY HTML WAS INVENTED ?

   • HTML was invented to create a way for researchers to be able to use internet to collaborate and share information

3. When was developed and Who did it ?

   • Berners-Lee specified HTML and wrote the browser and server software in late 1990.

5. STRUCTURE

   • Html has tree structure
   • What is an element ?
     • - An HTML element is everything between the start tag and the end tag, including the tags. - Tags can have attributes.
     • What is a tag?
       • HTML tags are keywords (tag names) surrounded by angle brackets  The first tag in a pair is the start tag, the second tag is the end tag -The end tag is written like the start tag, with a forward slash before the tag name  -Start and end tags are also called opening tags and closing tags

     • - It must be the first thing in the HTML Document - It is not html tag - It tells the browser which version of html is used
