Tissue Fluid
Glucose
- Amino acids
- Oxygen etc.
- Amino acids
Its formation
- 1. Firstly, blood flows through the artery into an arteriole.
- 2. Then, it flows into the arterial end (Ae) of the capillary.
- 3. Since the walls get narrower, the hydrostatic pressure is higher at the Ae of the capillary, though there is also a force from the tissue fluid on the capillary but this is smaller.
- 4. So, the fluid from the blood plasma are forced in, to form the tissue fluid, outside the cells.
- 5. This is called ultrafiltration.
- 6. As the blood plasma carries on flowing towards the venule end of the capillary, the Water potential decreases, as there are more proteins.
- 7. This results in water flowing into the capillary by osmosis
- 8. Any excess tissue fluid gets drained into the tissue fluid.
