1. Cloning is a method of reproduction that results in an identical offspring being produced

   • The first adult mammal to be cloned was Dolly the sheep, who was successfully cloned in 1996
     • She died in 2003, which came as a shock to people and presented a problem with cloning

2. Since Dolly the sheep, there have been many successful clones using biotechnology. Cats and dogs have both been successfully cloned

   • The supposed first human cloned (no evidence to prove so) is a baby called Eve, who was cloned on the 26th December 2002
