- This principle is known as Gustav's law of proximity.
This bubble looks like it belongs with the one below it.
That is because they are so close.
The golden rule is to put more space between items that don’t go together and less space between items that do.
Also keep in mind that people read left to right. so peoples eyes will naturally drift to the right. Using proximity can overcome this.
