- It will be soft when the vowels e, i, y directly follows it usually.
- Directly means right after it.
- If there isn't a vowel next to it, then you have to read the entire word to figure out the best sound!
- Hard C makes the sound ''kuh''

- Hard G makes the sound ''guh''
- EX: gate, gym
- When c or g meets a, o, u, its sound is hard.
