- 1Data Controller and why it is important.Data controller is A person who collects or keeps information about people. They are responsible for the security of customers data.

- 5FirewallsSoftware designed to allow or deny access to people who are trying to access a system, based on set rules. It prevents access by viruses,malware and wrong sorts of downloads.
- 6ScreensaversType of computer program that was originally designed to prevent damage to monitors by blanking the screen.This is to prevent phosphor burn-in. On their ownscreen savers do not secure data but do with a password.
- 7EncryptionPutting data into a secret code. When data in a database it canbe encrypted to protect it against theft. Have to save special software.
- 8Virus protectionA virus is a type of software program that copies itself onto system files or data and damages them. All computer systems should have a form of up-to-date antivirus protection in its software.
