- Define conservation Energy-
- Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be converted by one form to another.
- Describe some uses of friction-
- -Rubbing hands together to create warmth.
- -Brake pads on bike.
- What is the equation for calculating efficiency?
- Efficiency = Useful Energy Out
- Total Energy In
- How can machines be made more efficient?
- -Add lubricant
- -Reduce friction
-
Kinetic and Potential Energy Stores
- Movement means energy in an object's kinetic energy store.
- The energy in the kinetic energy store depends on the object's mass and speed. Greater mass and the faster it's going, the more energy there will be in it's kinetic energy store.

-
- Raised objects store energy in gravitational potential energy stores.
- The amount of energy in a g.p.e. Store depends on the object's mass, its height and strength of the gravitational field the object is in.
