- How to write a repeating decimal as a fraction
- 1. x = 0.5...
- Because 0.5... has 1 repeating digit in the tenth place multiply each side by 10
- 2. 10 * x = 10 * 0.5...
- 3. 10x = 5.5...
- 4. 10x - x = 5.5... - 0.5...
- 5. 9x = 5
- 6. 9x/9 = 5/9
- x = 5/9
- Caption: * means multiplication and 0.5... means 0.5 repeated
