  3. Layout.

    • When you create your layout it must be appropriate for the task that the interface is being designed for. You also must take into account who the interface is being designed for, for example if the interface will be used by children you will need to take there needs into account. for example they will need;
    • A small amount of text on screen.
    • Bright colours.
    • Have an uncluttered appearance.
    • Involve minimal keyboard usage.
  4. User expertise.

    • Users can be divided into different classification. Novice- people who have never used the software. Experienced-people who have used the software before but only know the basic features. Experts-people who have many years of experience using the software.
    • You will have to take into account individual skill levels for example video tutorials and walk-throughs may be needed for novice users whereas short-cuts may be needed for expert users to save them time going through basic techniques.
  5. Use by the disabled.

    • Users with sensory impairment may not be able to read the letters on screen properly to get around this problem you could use a large and clear font. Ict can also be utilised by the blind. They can do this by using talking computers. they can also use things such as Braille computers and keyboards. People with physical impairments can use voice activated computers to help them access P.C's.
  6. Navigational structure.

    • When you design an interface it is imperative that all of the actions that can be done are presented clearly. this is so that even novice users can be guided through the most complex of tasks
