  8. 8Properties of minerals are classified by...- Hardness
    - Lustre
    - Colour
    - Streak
    - Flame
  9. 9HardnessHardness is how stiff an object is. Hardness is assesed using Moh's scale.
  10. 10Moh's scaleA set of minerals used to find;
    - What can scratch an unknown mineral.
    - Which minerals can be scratched by the unknown mineral.
  11. 11Another way of testing hardness.By scratching it with different minerals.Another way of testing hardness.
  12. 12ColourColour is very useful when looking for minerals. For example; gold shows up as a yellowish colour in soil.
