1. Types of services

   • Software -You can pay to use the software remotely
   • Storage -Allowing your data to be stored remotely on the hosts server.
   • Infastructure- You can pay to use the hosts hardware.
   • Processing - this means you could run complicated servers remotley.

2. Disadvantages

   • The user can only access their information if they have a network connection so if your internet fails you can't access the files.
   • It is not always possible to store more than a few gigabytes online with one provider, whereas it is possible to purchase a few terabytes of physical storage to save information at home.
   • Data stored online is vulnerable to security attacks.
   • Web apps do not usually have as many detailed functions as a full software package

3. Advantages

   • Data can be easily accessed anywhere with an internet connection.
   • Additional storage can be added easily without having to invest in additional hardware.
   • The business running the cloud storage service manages backups and security.
   • The user doesn’t need to buy the latest software as it might be freely accessible through web apps.
   • You can easily work with others on your projects or files.
