1. Advantages

   • Ability to access files from any location or any device, so long as there is an internet connection
   • Access can be granted to another use so they can remotely access your data
   • Reduce need to make backups, cloud storage services back up data for you
   • Additional storage can be added easily without having to invest in additional hardware

2. Disadvantages

   • No guarantee that someone else is not accessing your data
   • No guarantee that your data is being backed up
   • Access to data is only possible with an internet connection, no connection means no access to data
   • If you can access your data from anywhere then a hacker can potentially do the same
   • If you don't have a good internet connection you can't access your data
   • Relying on other people to correctly secure your data and keep backup
   • Don't know if employees of the cloud service will have access to your data
