1. LEFT HEMI:

   • Written & Spoken Language
   • Logical & Analytical Thinking
   • Expression of Positive Emotion

2. RIGHT HEMI:

   • Spatial-Relations
   • Creative & Holistic Thinking
   • Expression of Negative Emotions

3. Involved in variety of higher-order cognitive, emotional, sensory & motor functions

4. Contralateral Representation

   • the right hemi controls the left side of the body and the left hemi controls the right side of body

5. Lateralization of Function

   • Each hemi dominates for certain bxs

6. Corpus Callosum

   • 2 hemispheres communicate
     • Split-Brain Study
       • Object presented LVF (transmitted to the R Hemi) Couldn't verbally identify it or pick it up with right hand Object presented to RVF (transmitted to L Hemi) COULD verbally identify it and pick it up with R hand but not with the left hand
