Week 1 - Concept development
Focus: Developing the concept and base ideas of the composition
Strengths: Strong idea and premise to build on for the choreography
Weakness: Only had a few ideas to pick on so my choice was very simple
Challenges: I want to do a lot of sharp strong movements which are not my forte but I can work on them and make them unique
What I've learnt: Simple ideas are good just know how you want to progress don’t go in blind
Goal for moving on: Stick to the one idea and not change it every week
Week 2 - Literal and symbolic movements
Focus: which movements are literal and which are symbolic and include both into the piece and variety. Try multiple and pick as you go.
Strengths: Having multiple options to choose from
Weakness: not knowing exactly what they mean
Challenges: Alot of the movements are similar and the variety is that large
What I've learnt: The basics are important for the fundamentals of movement
Goal for moving on: Think bigger and out of the box
Literal movements: When something is showing exactly what it is e.g. waving
Symbolic movements: When the movement is showing the idea and base or symbol of something e.g. Praying, crown
