Verbs in ing or infinitve
An infinitive has to at the beggining .
A gerund has ING at the end.
Examples ING:
The builders avoided destroying the area´s beauty.
He considered going to Mexico on holiday.
Examples Infinitve:
He failed to turn up for the interview.
He managed to succeed in the end.
I can´t afford to go to that restaurant.
Some verbs can go with the gerund or the infinitive, but there is an important difference in meaning.
