Start

Cut a steel bar 20mm x 225mm x 3mm

Remove all burs and sharp edges from theedges

Using a pair of calipers and a steel rule find the centre of

Set the calipers to 10mm and run it along both long edges of the bar

Do the lines overlap?

Use a scribe and a steel rule to go over the line

Using a steel ruel mark 10mm in from each end of the bar on the line

Usinga ball pain hammer and a centre punch create a dent where the ines intersect

Next find the middle of the bar and mark it on the center line

Mark 30mm each side of that line

Using the center punch and ball pain hammer create indents where the lines intersect

Are all the drilling points correctly marked out?

Clamp the bar securley in the vice on the pillar

Is the jig secured in the vice?

Using an 8mm drill bit drill out the three middle holes

Next using a 2.5mm drill bit drill the two smaller holes on each side

Using a metalwork vice and file remove any burs or sharp edges around the holes

Are all the sharp edges removed from the jig?
