- 1the computer system is is the name for all of the components working together inside a computerThe purpose of a CPU is the fetch, decode and output instructions to the other components
- 2the FDE (fetch, decode and execute)cycle is the cycle in which something is inputted and the CPU fetchs it. it then decodes it and sends the instructions to other components for it to be executedthe three Cs are clock speed, cache and cores. something that affect the performance of the computer is having more cores, higher clock speed and a bigger cache.
- 3their are some components inside the CPU itself the work the CPUthe control unit controls the flow of data. the arithmetic logic unit carries out calculations and logical decisions. the cache stores frequently used data which are quicker to access and the register is high speed memory in the CPU
