- 1What is rate?It is a fraction.
It is usually something per time - e.g. meters per second.
e.g. 5 meters per 20 second - 2What is UNIT rate? HOW do we get unit rate of 10 meters per 30 seconds?It is the same as rate, but over 1.
UNIT means ONE.
Divide TOP by BOTTOM. 10/30 = 0.333 m/sec - 3What does kilo mean?1000!
- 436 = 2x/3 + 21. subtract on both sides
2. Times both sides by 3 (to get rid of 3)
3. Divide both sides by 2 (to get rid of 2)
4. x = 51 - 5What is discrete vs. continuous? What is a test to check if it is continuous?discrete - doesn't continue, dots
(e.g. smiles, or ppl, or buses - can you have 1.7 of them?)
