- 1What is an algorithm?An algorithm is a sequence of instructions that can be followed to solve a solution.
- 2What is a pseudo code?A pseudo code is used to write instructions in statements that are somewhere between English and a programming language.

Boolean - True/False - 4What is a variable?A variable is an item of data whose value could change while the program is being run.

- 6What is a Declaration?The process of defining a variable and constant in terms of their name and data type.
- 7What is Memory Address?A specific location in memory where instructions or data are stored.
- 8What is Assignment?Assignment is the process of giving a value to a variable or constant.
- 9What is Selection?Selection is the principle of choosing what action to take based on certain criteria.
It is the process that allows a computer to compare the values and then decide what course of action to take. - 10What is Indefinite Iteration?A process that repeats while/until a condition is met.
- 11What is Definite Iteration?It is a process that repeats a set of times.
- 12What is Data Structure?It is a common format for storing large columns of related data, which is an implementation of an abstract data type.
It is a method used to store data in an organised and accessible format. - 13What is an Array?A set of related data items stored under a single identifier, it can work on one or more dimension.
- 14What is a Multi-Dimensional Array used for?A 2-dimensional array can be used to represent a grid of rows and columns.
- 15What is a subroutine?It is a named block of code designed to carry out a specific task.
- 16What is a Function?A subroutine that returns a value.
- 17What is a Parameter?A parameter works like a variable in that it identifies the data that you want a subroutine to take in and use.
- 18What is an Argument?An argument is the actual value being passed to the subroutine.
- 19What is a Global Variable?A variable that is available anywhere in the program.
- 20What is a Local Variable?A variable that is only available in specified subroutines and functions.
- 21What is a record?It is one line of a text file.
- 22What is a field?It is an item of data inside a text file.
- 23What can exception handling do?Using exception handling statements, you can intercept and handle exceptions so that your program does not crash.
For example: trying to read a non-existent file. - 24What is a sequence?A sequence is the principle of putting the correct instructions in the right order within a program.
