What is a sound card A sound card is an expansion card that provides a computer with the ability to produce sound that can be heard by speakers or headphones.
What is a graphics card? It converts computer code (101010010111101010101) from a input device into pixels and displays it on a output device.
What is a Motherboard A motherboard is the main printed circuit board found in computers and other expandable systems. It holds many of the crucial electronic components of the system, such as the central processing unit and memory. Unlike a back plane, a motherboard contains significant sub-systems such as the processor and other components.
RAM This is a short term memory that is stored on your computer until you log off or shut down. You can save this to your Rom but, but if you don't it will be lost forever
ROM Rom is your long term memory. It hold any data you might have saved until it goes to your hardrive. More importantly, it holds the start up and running code to your computer. You can not edit your ROM
