What was the Tennis Court Oath? a pledge to write a French constitution that met the people's needs.
July 14th, 1789, the Revolution began. What did the revolutionaries do first? They stormed the Bastille for weapons and gunpowder.
What was the March to Versailles? Angered mob of women marched to Versailles to get bread from the king. The king and the bread moved to Paris.
Why was King Louis XVI accused of treason and beheaded? He asked for secret help from Austria, and got Austria and Prussia to attack France.
Who was Robespierre? The head of the Committee of Public Safety who became a corrupt dictator of France and instated the Reign of Terror.
After Robespierre, who becomes the rulers of the country? A group called the Directory.
Who was Napoleon? A self-proclaimed emperor of France. He makes taxes fair, opens public schools, and gets rid of voting.
