- 1What are the characteristics of an optical storage device?Every optical storage device is prone to getting scratched and is therefore not durable or reliable, on the other hand they are very cheap and portable as they are small. In addition they are fast as they have to process HD films and videos, they have to have a high capacity for this reason as well.
- 2What are the characteristics of a Solid State Storage technology?The capacity of a SSS is generally good, it always has very good speed and some are very portable such as a USB or an SD card, however others, a solid state drive, are not portable at all. Furthermore they are normally pretty cheap as well and they are all very reliable.
- 3The characteristics of a magnetic storage device?Some magnetic storage devices are very fast and some are very slow, however pretty much all of them can have a high to very high capacity. There are two very portable mediums and two not portable, they are all very reliable and most of them are kind of cheap. The only anomaly to all of these is the floppy disk as it is outdated by every other medium, magnetic or not.
