Cards in this deck (11)

  1. 1ARRAY-An array stores a fixed-size sequential collection of elements of the same type
    -All arrays consist of contiguous memory locations
    -the first space in the index is zero 0
  2. 2Declaring an Arraydatatype[] arrayName;
    ex: int [] numberOfPens
    You can assign values during the declaration like
    datatype[] name{ }
    ex: string[]colors{"red","blue",green"};
  3. 3Initializing an ARRAYdatatype[] name = new datatype[10];
    you can assign through initialization
    ex: int[]cars=new int [3] {4,3,10};
    You can omit the size of an array
    int[]cars = new int[] {4,5,10};
  4. 4METHODSMethods are VERBS
    A method is a group of statements that together perform a task. Every C# program has at least one class with a method named Main.
  5. 5Method format(Parameter List)
    {
    Method Body
    }
    ex: public int grades ( A, B, C,D)
  6. 64 Pillars of OOP1.) Abstraction
    2.) Encapsulation
    3.) Inheritance
    4.) Polymorphism
  7. 7AbstractionExpose relevant functions and hides irrelevant, abstract complexity, a wrapper, private vs public properties.
  8. 8InheritanceThe ability of creating a new class
    from an existing class.
    The base class has properties and methods
    that will be inherited by the sub class and it can have additional properties or methods.
  9. 9Encapsulationis defined 'as the process of enclosing one or more items within a physical or logical package'. Encapsulation, in object oriented programming methodology, prevents access to implementation details.
    access specifiers: public, private, protected etc.
  10. 10PolymorphismPolymorphism refers to the ability
    to take into different forms or stages.A subclass can define
    its own unique behavior and still share the same functionalities or behavior of its
    parent/base class.
  11. 11Interface
